Tuxracer blues

I did an apt-get install tuxracer and it dosent work.. *I get this same prob with quake.. *Here is what I got when I ran ruxracer:

Xlib: *extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: *extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
*** tuxracer error: Couldn't initialize video: Couldn't find matching GLX visual (Success)

what video card? what version of X ?

are there a couple lines in your XF86Config(-4) that look like this?

# This loads the GLX module
# * Load * * * "glx"

maybe if you uncommented the second line, it might work (you'll have to leave X and restart it after doing this, of course)

I have an Ati Play 98 @ 98 (Mach 64) and XFree86 Version 3.3.6a

I added it and it still dosent work... Same error message...
