    lilo problem I think

I just did up2date on my file/print server (running redhat 7.2) and there was an updated kernel so I was forced to reboot loosing my 25 day uptime I might add. Anyways its booting up and lilo is about to load and I get this
Error 0x40 over and over again. Luckily I found my rescue disk but it only booted the older kernel. Anyone know what the problem could be?

i am guessing your kernel got messed up in transit - do you have the option to load the old kernel?

oh yea - the 0x40 error indicates a problem with the memory or hard drive.
