just got limewire installed again and i cant remember how i made a shorcut to it on my desktop. the only way i can run it is ./runLime.sh in a terminal which is kinda anoying. i tried dragging the file and linking it on the desktop in konqueror but it just hangs when i try to execute it. any helpers? thanx

You can probably ln -s /pathto/binary /pathto/desktop

i tried that first off the bat b4 i posted and that didnt work. i remember this happened last time but i dont know what i did to remedy the situation.
i did ln "-s runLime/sh /home/sd/Desktop" which creates the link but like before, it just hangs and never runs. still baffled. ???
Maybe try making your own shell script on the desktop that calls the runxxx.sh in it's environment?
well call me ash, and this is my boomstick, but i dont have a clue how to do that unfortunately. :![]()
