Simple Routing Issue

I am very comfortable in Linux but am having the hardest time setting up a simple network scheme. Basically, I have two PCs that are on different subnets. They are on the same switch but they cannot ping each other. Below are my current settings for both PCs.

PC1 - 192.168.20.1, mask 255.255.255.192
PC2 - 192.168.21.1, mask 255.255.255.192

I chose the /26 subnet because I will be adding 2 more subnets to the switch eventually (ie. 192.168.22.1 and 192.168.23.1). Unfortunately, the network scheme was setup by a previous student so I can't change the IP addresses. I feel really dumb and would greatly appreciate any help and/or guidance!

you can't ping betwee them, because their individual IP segments dosn't allow the range they are scattered across.192.168.20.x and 192.168.21.y is too far from eachother than your /26 segment will cover.http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...tmask-is-given for explanation

Hi,
any source address matching access-list 1 entering the inside interface will get translated to the IP address of the outside interface along with a port number so this is called NAT overload( many to one). So from the outside the source IP is the outside IP.
