problem trying to set up webserver

Hi, I am trying to set up a webserver just for myself to play around with, I am running Red Hat 9 with Apache. My problem is when someone tries to view my website from the web it times out, but I can see the index.html page on the local machine. Any help, thoughts, ideas are greatly appreciated.

Check your firewall configuration. Sounds like it's blocking port 80 (default http port).
