Hello Fellows,
I am kinda learning Linux. Normally after installing Ubuntu server it is automatically visible by all computers on my home network, but if I install CentOS server it is not visible by the other computers (with Windows) on the network. By the way, they are installed inside of VirtualBox.
How do I make it visible to all computers on the network? They can access it using its IP address, but under their network tab it would not be listed there.
Well, hope I make some sense.
Thank you very much,
Aroldgre
aroldgre,
Replying to this question I am assuming you can ping your windows boxes from you CentOS box and they are part of the same network. Do you have Samba running or have you configured Samba on your CentOS box? If you are unaware what Samba is LHN has an excellent tutorial on the subject matter. http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...nux,_and_Samba
