    Getting hostnames (DNS) from router?

I have 4 computers wired into my home D-Link DIR-625 router and any number of wireless notebooks that come and go. Connecting to the router I can see a list of computer names and their assigned IP. How can I get my Linux computers to use the DNS from the router?

Call your provider, they have the record for your dns

If the computers that are wired to the router are windows based, I'm pretty sure typing "ipconfig /all" in a command prompt will show the IP address of the primary dns. You should be able to enter that into your linux box and use that.
