Hi to whomever reading this,

I've read the LHN-chapter 29 but still don't get it. So maybe here is someone who can help me with my problem.

I have three laptops that access a NAS (Qnap Turbo NAS TS 119P).
I can mount the share manually.

But now I come to my problem.
These laptops should access the same share via nfs no matter if they are accessing it via vpn or directly from the intranet.

I have added in the fstab the following line:
192.168.123.123:/mhaus /media/NAS nfs soft 0 0

But it does not work, when I'm working from home and using the vpn.
The mount does not work at all.
Manually I can mount the share with the following comand:
sudo mount -t nfs 192.168.123.123:/mhaus /media/NAS

So I'm looking for a solution, that helps me to deal with the two environments
a) at home via vpn
b) in the office in the intranet

Please let me know, if you need any further informations.

Thanks,
George
