    Samba blues

I had Samba working perfect I was sharing files with my xp box and with my linux box.

This one day I went into the samba server box and took some parts from it that it wasnt using like my video accelerator and sound card. I then restarted the server and I notice that all the files were gone..

What happened is that I accidentaly disconnected the hd power cord for the hd with all the stuff in it. I went in and renonnected everything all the files were there and the linux box is still able to share the files with the samba server but my bro's xp box says this when I try to map the drive and it trys to connect:
    The semaphore timeout has expired

What does that mean? What's wrong?
