Try the what is my IP site - http://www.whatismyip.com/
Is there any tool or service that allows a NAT'ed unix server to view the public IP address of the network it is on? The unix server now has a 192.168.1.x private IP and I am using a cable dynamic internet service.
oops sorry. I mean via command line. this way I can create a bash script to notify me if my IP address changes.
@beemer832, I wrote a bash script to update my ZoneEdit account with my dynamic IP when it changes. Nothing fancy but it has been running on my home server for 5 years with no issues.
