    Installing Linux via zip drive

I got an old laptop and thanks to Compunuts I got a 540MB hd. The problem is that my laptop dosent have a cdrom or a way to connect a network card to it. Also it only has 4mb ram.

Would the best way to do this would be to just get zipslack and once I boot my computer to copie it over to the hd? Or what other option do I have?

Well you can still run a CLI box with SSH into your main box via PLIP.

I don't know about the Slack specific stuff but you can install via a null modem cable with NFS server. Check this one out.

I'm not sure but it's something between 50 Kbps to 150 Kbps. So it's almost the same as your Internet running speed which wasn't so bad at all.
