i have a lot of .VOB files on my system i want to run them but the dragon player and the movie player open and they are closed within a second. can anyone tell me the solution for this problem? Is there any alternative player for playing .VOB files?

You can try VLC media player, try yo install it with the necessary files. you can also find rpm for it.
