Hi.

I have just set up my caching-nameserver/authoritative DNS on my RHEL5 machine. I am getting an error (DNS status: SERVFAIL) when I issue the command (dig ns1.google.com www.clownsandtangs.com). But it is fine (status: NOERROR) when i issue the command (dig www.clownsandtangs.com). I have just completed my nameserver (ns1.clownsandtangs.com) registration this morning (it's been around 15hours since) and I am suspecting that my nameserver hasn't completely populated itself around the internet. If so, how long does it take, and how long do I need to keep my server on? Are there any method to expediate the process? Could there be something else that's wrong with my nameserver?
