    Mount ntfs from redhat linux

    how to mount the windos on my linux machine, i have songs in my windows drive i try to copy it mounting it. when i try to mount it states error message unkown filesystem 'NTFS'

    fdisk -l displays the following answer

    It sounds like you have a dual boot system and want to read the Windows partition from Linux. is that so? What does your /etc/fstab file contain? What command are you using to mount the partition? Older versions of Windows use the FAT file system, so you may need to try that option, I see what appears to be a Windows 95 FAT partition here.

    I try to mount the windows drive using

    mount /dev/sda5 /songs

    the fstab file has following details, is there is any way to mount the drive without changing the NTFS to FAT

    /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults 1 1
    LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
    devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
    tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
    proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
    sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
    /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0

    There is a problem when mounting NTFS in RHEL

    but it works for FAT32

    ofcourse it mounts FAT filesytem, It mounts my pendrive. why does it dosent mount it, is there is any option to do it, i am waiting for reply please help..
