    SSH or dial up passwd?

I have about 30 or so SCO and Red Hat boxes that I need to dial into through a modem. I have a dial-up passwd set for all the SCO boxes but I am not sure how to set a dial up passwd for Red Hat. I use SSH on my LAN here but is there possible to use SSH on a dial up with some sort of emulator or something or does anyone know how to set a dial-up passwd on Red Hat? thanx in advance.

You can use PAP or CHAP through pppd for your linux boxes. mgetty will call pppd when it picks up the modem. pppd will then do all the verification with either PAP or CHAP.
