I heard intels dropping prices on the quads today, is it true?

and how much is the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700? also is it better to get the q6700 or q6600 whats the difference between those?

Wasn't a Q6600 yet, but they were hailing them as a deal. I would always reccomend not going top bin for a cpu family. Thats the one thing keeping me from upping my older tower to a QuadCore2Duo (my internal name for those speed demons )

Either way, nobody I read from had a bad thing to say other than loud and heat producing of the q6700s (Newegg had a handful of reviews)
