I am toying with iptables (v1.3.6) and it seems I miss something when setting up mangle table. For the purpose of an expiriment I start to download a big file (from 220.127.116.11) end enter these two commands:
iptables -I INPUT -t mangle -p tcp ! -s 18.104.22.168 -j TOS --set-tos Minimize-Delay
iptables -I OUTPUT -t mangle -p tcp ! -d 22.214.171.124 -j TOS --set-tos Minimize-Delay
That is all the traffic that isn't from 126.96.36.199 or not destined to there should be processed instantly, bypassing any queue. Unfortunately I don't get a result I want to,that is openning web pages is extremely slow. All the bandwidth is eaten up by wget. What's wrong? I have a "white" IP so using INPUT/OUTPUT chains seems adequate.
