Thread: my comp cannot be turned off

my comp cannot be turned off

my computer will not turn off if I'm connected to the internet during start up. When I discconnect to the internet and start up my comp, then it will be able to shut down properly later on.
It will show as "shutting down" (something like that)nd will just stay there forever.
PCcillin cannot detect any virus infections. I'm suspecting it to be something wrong with a program?

so anyway...here is my highjack log:

    Try your logs...

    Hello mr. James,

Try this as a first step:
    1. Noting the computer's time, attempt to shut down your computer.
    2. When it fails to shutdown, go to your Event Viewer Logs and look in the logs for an error.
    3. If you think it is an application error, check the Application Log. If you do not find the problem in the Application Log, try the rest of the logs. You are looking for an event that corresponds with the proper time (approximately).
    4. If you find the error, fix it if you can.
    5. If you do not find an error or cannot fix the error, come back and report the status and we'll try step 2.

    To access your logs:
    Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer>%Log Name (i.e. Application; Security; System; etc.)%

    Good luck!
