    httpd service

Hi, I have installed the Apache server (httpd2) from its source and it is working fine. The problem is that, I want to start it every time the system boots, but it is not in the serviceconf's list. How can I add it to the list ?
This will be over soon, and then I can ...

You can look at the chkconfig command
    Code:
    man chkconfig
You might need to crate a configuration file in /etc/init.d.
There's an example of an apache config file here:

    Thanks very much.
I added the httpd service with one change:
When Itried to add the httpd service :
    Code:
    chkconfig --add httpd
although I had created the config file, and copied it to /etc/init.d/ directory, I got an error message the the service cannot be added. I substituted the file with the one from the httpd RPM on the FC6 DVD with some modifications and it worked.
This will be over soon, and then I can ...
