    Exclamation Use of yum command

    Hi can any one explain the use of yum command in linux....... For installation we are using rpm command........ so what is the need for yum command.... anything special....... Pls give me detailed explanation

    Use of Yum command

    Yum does all the dependancies for you straight from the command line, it just makes everything easier, see "man yum" on your system for more details...

    yum install packagename
    yum whatprovides filename
    yum remove appname
    yum update
