    Question Disabling Firewall

    Hello!

How can i disable firewall in linux through command line?

It depends on what version of linux you are using, and what firewall.

Here's some infor for Red Hat. Those will rpobably work on any Red Hat compatible system.

You can always just flush the iptables rules by doing
    Code:
    iptables -F
but that will remove other things too, like port forwarding. Plus, they will come back up next time you reboot the machine.
My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive.

To stop it, you can do:

    /etc/init.d/iptables stop

Or if you want to make sure it never starts again:

    update-rc.d iptables remove

Like Trick said, it depends on what distro. The location of the script, and the commands for that script may vary across distros.
