Setup inetd to have connections on port 23 forwarded to telnetd, but why not install openssh ? Since telnet is an insecure and outdated protocol.

    In Fedora it would be:

    Code:
    # yum -y install telnet-server
    # chkconfig telnet on
Redhead is right. SSH would be a much more secure protocol to use. It would be much harder for someone to eavesdrop on your session to view your username and password, or equally importantly, the type of work you are doing; which could include knowledge of file locations and their contents.
