    External DVD

Does anybody know if you can boot Fedora Core 6 using an external dvd drive? I can't get the dvd or cd iso to boot. It gets to the line, 'isolinux' or whatever it say and stops.

    Thnx.

Fedora yes supports that. The question is this -- does your motherboard support this? It should be an option in your BIOS that can select booting from USB/Firewire.

I dont see why there would be a problem then. Thats mostly a kernel level thing and USBfs (or whatever its name is). I dont see why any issues should arise.

I'm not sure either, but it seems some distros will boot and some won't. Oh well, I can live without it till I get another internal drive.

    Thnx.
