    help wid dial up connection

    fedora 5. cannot connect says error 8 whenever i try to conect. the modem is HD audio soft data fax modem with smart CP

    This fellow ran into similar issues. Apparently the modem is not supported. Read the post. Its worth reading.

    LinuxAnt may have free (limited to 14.4k) closed source modem, and an unlimited, commercial driver for it.
