I have tried to clean up some of the spam and deleted the user names that were created for that reason. I hope this will improve the site some and may look at changing how new users are vaildated in order to reduce the spam.

Spam right now is an issue all over the internet forums. It's not something MSforums is facing alone. I'm deleting 100's of spam and porn messages on GFC everyday.
There are things being done but these bots can by-pass the security code validation system and they are also validating email confirmation.
In other words, they are smart.
