Video Help

Well,this has been going on for a while now. Everytime I try to view a video file like a ".mpeg" or a Quicktime movie, my PC craps out. It doesn't freeze, but it does skip like crazy, for instence. I'll try to open a video file and, at times, I hear audio, but no video. Then my computer freezes, I click something like AIM on my taskbar, and the text comes up line-by-line. I can view movies in Youtube, but not through any media player.


I need some help!

Decoder as in Video Player? Like what kind of Codecs?
