Thread: IE6 does not respond after idle

    I can't connect to the Internet using IE6 if I leave it idle for a couple of hours. My PC is connect via a LAN to a 3Com wirelss firewall router and we have a MAC connect wirlessly which isn't affected.

    I have set the modem to be always connected and because there are no problems with the MAC I assume it is IE6.

    I have set IE6 to connect automatically and don't know waht else to try.

    Any suggestions please?

    Do you notice this behavior with any other networked apps or just IE?

    hi,
    did IE work before ?
    are your network parameters set properly?
    did you try with firefox...same results or not?
    you can repaire IE (that is if it worked before) in the uninstall options selelect repair...I assume it still like this as it is quite a while that I didn't have to use a windows OS
