I have an hp laptop, that is a little over 4 years old.

All of a sudden, it won't load win xp.

I have tried safe mode, last know good config and they all just keep rebooting.

I tried the recovery console and then I get the blue screen with the above error.

    The full stop code is ox000000ed (ox8577c030, oxc0000006, ox0000000, ox0000000)

I have tried using the rc.iso file and all I get is, Bood CD Rom Type: None Emulation Booting and then nothing happens.

I tried the 6 floopy disk and it gets to the point where is ask for the 2nd disk and when I insert the 2nd disk, it says it's doing something, I can't remember now what it says and then nothing.

I only have the laptop recovery disk.

    Any assistance, is appreciated.

    Thanks,

Ok, so you don't have any way of just reinstalling the OS?

If I do, it will wipe out everything and I want to leave that as a last resort.

Well it will let you repair and also you can install the OS without formatting the computer. I have done this before. As a 2nd to last resort.

Have you tried this http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...Ben-us%3B307545 and also, do you have any external devices plugged in?

Here is one more post where someone seems to be having the same problem and it turned out to be a hardware issue.
