Hi, I have a very irritating problem at present and could do with some help.
I have a Wireless Desktop Elite Keyboard and Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0. When playing shoot 'em up type games and holding down a key to move in the game, the character in the game should continue moving as long as I hold down the key. However, if while holding down the key, I move the mouse, the character stops and I have to release and depress the key again. I have used the mskey feature to verify this and any input to the mouse "interrupts" the keyboard. I have updated all the drivers and software, used both USB and PS/2 connections and also tried with a variety of games, none of these make any difference. Also, the keyboard has IRQ 1 and mouse 12 which I believe to be fairly normal.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Does anyone have any ideas as to how I should proceed?
Thanks in advance,
Neil.
Nope, have never had that problem on a wireless keyboard or mouse. The problem I do run into a lot is if the mouse is right beside the keyboard the left click will not work until I move it back from the keyboard.
As nice as wireless is, sometimes it just seems to be too much of a pain. Sorry I could not be of any help, maybe someone else can jump in and help.
Also, welcome to the forums!
