When XP Pro is booting, at the welcome screen I get a strange dialog box with out information and requires acceptance to allow it to continue boot. Has anyone had this or know of a fix.

Have never heard of this one. Have you looked in the startup folder to see if anything is in there you don't reconize? Are you comfortable going into the Registy and checking to see what is being man on startup?
