Had to reinstall WinXP, cant find programs

Help, my system crashed after trying to install SP2 (mistake). Had to reinstall WindowsXP - managed to save all my files, etc. but I can't find my programs. For example, I have an ipod - trying to reinstall itunes, it tells me the program is on my computer, but I can't find it - same goes for other programs that should be there - ie. HP RecordNow....can anyone remedy this???

When you re-installed Windows XP, did you re-format or just the repair option?

If you didnt format, XP will store them in Docs and settings. Just go in via the C drive, mycomputer way and look in there
