    Server change notice!

Please be advised that I will be making some hardware changes to the server this site is hosted on. I am expecting approximately 10 to 15 minutes of downtime, if everything goes smoothly the downtime may not be noticed at all.

The server modification will give us faster processing, faster page loads, bigger bandwidth, more space and much more...

Expected server modification time is Saturday, January 08, 2005 approximately from 2:00AM to 4:00AM EST.

I'm sure this small potential downtime will bring much better site for all of us.

Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Should be a breeze, besides the server config we'll have now is awesome. Dual Xeon 2.8 GHz, 2GB Ram. It's a dell rack server. Can't get too wrong with that.

UPDATE: Transition was smooth last night but after I went to sleep something went wrong, web service failed and refused to restart automatically. I found out when I woke up really late today, started working on it rightaway and after a 3 hour fight with linux I think we have that issue resolved. Technically the server is equiped to heal itself, that's what failed last night.

Currently everything is working fine but there is a potential of temporary slowdowns and even downtime but I'm here watching the server very closely, so any problem shouldn't be a problem.

I'd like to apologize to everyone who experienced the downtime for a few hours and thank everyone for their patience.

    gen.
