    VmwaRE "Can I?"

I noticed the vmware has the option to use a partition as it virtual Hard drive.

Now my question is can I add said partition to my bootloader as well and natively boot the vm OS?

btw vmware rocks, I've tried qemu and vmware blows it away. In vmware its very funtional and pratical and runs normally. And the networking options, they make me drool, excellent program!!!!!!

    I don't think you can.

I think the problem comes in the fact that in VMware the "drives" are scsi when in real life the drive is IDE.

    You could try it.

The worst that could happen is it doesn't work and you have to reinstall.
