Besides doing sit-ups all day, is there another real good way to gain abdominal strength?

Well, not eating alot of carbs also helps.
yes try different approaches to crunches, your abs arent all about you 6pack hidden below. work your obliques too. not too mention your crotch muscles (no not your wang) you ever seen those ads with sickening guy that all the chicks think are hot? hes got those creases above his crotch and right below his six pack, yea thats you crotch muscles. to work those is very hard though. maybe i should do pictures with help. or not. lol. anywho - to work your obliques you start out with your legs in a normal crunch position, then lay both legs down to one side and keep your back straight. do a normal crunch. yeah its gonna hurt, but thats good it means its working. do 30 and then switch sides. do three sets, oh it s gonna hurt really really really bad, an dif you finish all three sets, its gonna hurt worse! theres also a bunch of other exercises, but those usually work best.
If it burns, your do something.
ok thx

Iam kinda fat, and I try to exercise everyday.
I have found that if you keep your abs tight, push ups are very beneficial. As you get stronger, you can put one arm behind your back for a few on each side, working your obliques nicely.
Sit ups and crunches are hard on my neck for some reason.....
and the bonus is the upper body strength you gain at the same time.
Sort of an all inclusive excercise.
