I attempted to test the new version with Wolfenstein Enenmy Territory, but I was unable to install Wolfenstein due to corrupted installation files.

The newest versions of DX are usually included in all new games. You are usually asked to install it. Much faster than downloading it.

If you don't buy new games, then you have to download it.
