Install Linux on your XBOX

linux is a good thing to have if you wanna hack but for everyting else its utter rubbish

I like linux, but all this server stuff, I just don't understand! I've never understood the thing about servers and everything. I know the basics, like what they are and what they do, just haven't gone deep into them to actually find out what they are, how they're linked to multiplayer games and all that. Ok I know that a server can be used to host a game and everything, I just.. Ah forget it!

The only reason linux is prefered over windows for servers, specially game servers because you can run the OS without loading all the graphics, I.E. in shell mode. This saves a huge amount of memory which can be used for the performance of that program that you're running.

My buddy got an Xbox the installed a mod chip which allows him to use Linux as well as use Xbox live for free.
