    Looking for log viewing program.

Can anyone suggest what their favorite xwindows compatable log viewer. I'd like a package that has a basic interface to tab though various system logs and such..

    Any suggestions?

I've never actually used one but gnome-system-log looks decent. I've never been big on reading log files, when here's an error cat, grep and tail normally gets the job done.
Why are you not using Fedora Core?

There is a company called splunk that has a free product that imports syslog messgaes and dumps them into a database for google like web search.

You can find out how many times an error occurred in the past, sort by severity, by device, by date range etc.

I played around with it for a week and it looked OK.
