And just what do YOU use jro?
Debian is the way to go, the community just may excede the total devs on all the other distros combined! That is a huge gang of smart people.
Some day soon even rootfoo will give up Slack for Deb! woot

This is an interesting article with an interview with Ian Murdock (Debian creator), about how Mandrive will need to encorporate Debian technology into its core if it is to survive.
I for one would like to see Mandriva move to apt for its package management, mainly 'cause I never really liked RPMs. If they did go this route it would be interesting to see how they distinguished themselves from the others.

I am for Linux. Period. Any advancement of any distro is good for Linux IMHO.
What do I use right now? Windows XP, cause all my computers are in a box somewhere, and I have no internet connection at home. So I am relagated to surfing solely on my work laptop.
What I was getting as what that Mandriva (Mandrake) was always a Red Hat clone. I have never heard of a distro thinking about moving between technologies like this. I may be wrong, has anyone ever heard of this happening before?
Bah. Slackware will rule the world. You watch.
