Angry Debian app that locates media plug-in links in Web page

There is a debian app that locates media file links in Firefox page, and plays them in the appropriate player when clicked. This app worked fine with Xandros distro, but I had cable failure that damaged a drive and must re-install, and now I can't seem to find this app (failure to document!)

    Can anyone help?

Try mplayer with the added codecs.

    Here's a HOW-TO.
