    Current forum system

FYI - The forums are now running on a clone (a label less black box) dual 700 Mhz Pentium III system with 1.0GB of RAM and 80 GB of disk. Fedora Core 5 as the OS.

The previous system was a dual 800 Mhz Pentium III system with 1.5GB of RAM and 80 GB of disk in a RAID 5 configuration. Fedora Core 3 as the OS.

The upgrade was done to take advantage of new bug and security fix releases of the vBulletin forum and Mediawiki wiki applications. I didn't want to run the risk of being unpatched for very long.

Please let me know if you see any performance impact due to the changes.

I plan to upgrade the original system once I get an FC5 compatible upgrade for another app I run on it. So it won't be available for a few more months.

    Thanks.

It seems fine for me. I like the new feature for the New Posts area, where it separates threads you have already read.
My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive.
