Those guys OEMs to someone elses. I KNOW for a fact that IBM, Sun and SGI used to OEM to my former company. There was also news about ipod maker in China using sub-standard labor (although it's fair to say almost ALL of factories in China uses sub-standard labor practices).
A friend of mine used to work for Foxconn. They are a okay company since almost all of PC hardwares are made by Taiwanese.
Foxconn actually makes them for Apple. Thats the plant in China that came under scrutiny lately for their labor policies (fwiw). They are also rather renowned for the bazillion connectors (as in the ATX connectors on motherboards and IDE ports and soforth) that we have in our computers and bench equipment.Originally Posted by trickster
