    Knoppix 3.9

So what are you waiting for?

BTW this is the last full distro on CD for Knoppix, from here on out it will be on a DVD or Knoppix Lite on a CD.

Please use your fave DL mirror!

I used to like Knoppix, but I used Mepis, and I have never turned back. Mepis just works so much better, it has the great plugins already there, and more importantly, it looks better. However, I have many memories with Knoppix. I believe one of my first posts were regarding accessing my cdrom after install Knoppix. Ah, remember the days we had to battle with Linux to get our cdroms to work? I remember Mandrake 9.0's automount feature that would unmount my cdrom while it was doing stuff. I used to only have a 30second time period before I would have to get the files off the disk.

I always have a version of Knoppix with me. I keep it tucked away in the back of my planner. I can't remember how many times I have been hearalded as a savior when I whip that disk out and save the day. I keep a minidisk with Damn Small Linux on it close to, it works better with really old hardware.
