Short sighted comment. Ads, though annoying are a valid business model and are a necessity.

The thing is people do click on ads, and they can be curious, which is a good thing to Open Source Developers. And mean, we do get curious when we see something inetersting, and if the clicks help the community, then why not.

Oh, and for the spamming thing, if the administrators think that this is a spam thread, then they should delete it.

    And that's just page 1

Not to mention the open source ad post was your first here.

If this isn't spamming then what exactly is it?
Well, it's my thinking that if you instead of wasting time googling to prove your point that i am spamming, why dont you take a initiative to help the open source community (which you are part of) ? Wont that be more worth it ? So what if this is my first post ?

I mean, even if the initiative is not favourable to some, but at least it is an effort. And we are all benefiting from the community anyway.

I don't know about his other comments and stuff .....

But this shows you need to do a little more research. Lovechild is very active in Linux development community. I have no intention of going into further details but I just wanted to point this out to you.
