I don't know what went wrong here again.

    Code:
compunuts@sienna64:~/download/motorola/svn-kmobiletools$ Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed
    kbuildsycoca running...
    Reusing existing ksycoca
kio (KSycoca): ERROR: No database available!
I'm heading to their forum and see if there are any support docs.

    Ah got it all working.

I needed to delete ksys related stuff in /var/tmp/kdecache-$USERNAME and restart KDE. Then it works.

I can also upload the entries into my phone .. now only problem is, it crashes hard ..... like unusable ... Bochi said to get help from Rockman.

    I'd need a full backtrace.
That is: configure with --enable-debug=full, recompile, than drkonqui should give you the full backtrace.
    If not, just run
    gdb kmobiletools_bin
type "run", then "bt" when it crashes.

Also, remember to do "svn up" in the kmobiletools directory before recompiling, i've done some more bugfixes since your downloaded snapshot.

I downloaded the latest new snapshot 08-09. Then unpack it and run ./compile-kmobiletools.sh (as outlined on your site), went into kmobiletools directory and did "svn up".

Seems to did the trick. It had been about 10 minutes and KDE hadn't crashed. YAY !!!

Another problem now, phone book entries are doubled, one from SIM phonebook and another from phone phonebook eventhough ALL of my contact entries are only on SIM card (I verified it).

Another question, though unrelated, is there a way to convert from old kmobiletools' phonebook? I've downloaded those to 0.4.3 version from old SIM card. If I run old version, it still have that phone book.

Thanks for your help RockMan. Kmobiletools is a very nice program although I generally don't wonder to KDE waters.

No Problem. I'm looking forward to it. I actually don't have a Razr but a Motorola V557 and have not yet gotten a bluetooth adapter yet, so as soon as I do, hehe.. i'll be reading your PET

KMobileTools 0.4 saved addressbook in $HOME/.kde/share/apps/kmobiletools/kmobiletools.vcf
Just reimport that file, the format is the same...
For other problems, i'll see.. for sms i'm using a MD5SUM on the text, to prevent sms duplication. I'll do the same to addressbook, probably (but there it's quite more tricky to do, anyway..)

You mean just move the file? Sorry for being dumb but I don't see any import/export feature in 0.5 thus my feature request. I vougely recall seeing that when setting up the phone but I can't be sure.

I think the walkaround I did with the one before the last update (08-04?) was that I tell the kmobiletools to look at only one at a time (either SIM or phone) but not both although it should be able to figure out IF the phone# was saved either on SIM/phone or both itself automagically.

Thanks for your great help, highly appreciated.
