How to sync phone book - Moto RAZR v3

I'm the author of kmobiletools.
Please try KMobileTools SVN (pre 0.5)
It works fine with motorola phones, phonebook downloading AND uploading, multiple numbers for contact, and other new stuff..

Thanks Rockman. I downloaded 08-04 one but when I tried to compile, the error is

Compunuts, I believe it is because of your automake version as the autotools (ugh... ) didn't run quite correclty. apt-get install automake-1.9 and the use update-alternatives to set it as the default one:

 sudo update-alternatives --set automake /usr/bin/automake-1.9

- then retry it .. it should work.

I used synaptic and found that the version needed is automake1.9 .

the use update-alternatives to set it as the default one:

Got this part. Thanks. Weird though, the version is automake-1.9 but in Ubuntu's synaptic, it's automake1.9.

I am a little lost as to where you are on your journey, but I do see that you can d/l but werent able to upload. That isnt all that abnormal, especially with Verizon. I would head over to Howardforums and see what your particular phone revision supports. And I would also look into software for unlocking the phone if need be. On some of my old Nextel's I needed to get into contact with someone with inside access to mod a file (the file is generated by the phone and is unique to that phone, my sim card, and my account and blah blah blah) and send it back. There may be a chance of that BS too.

Right now, I am a cell phone retard/moron/imbecile since the whole industry pisses the **** out of me to no end. The charges, taxes, and ridiculous policies that are put in place and we all abide by is staggering, sickening, and pathetic. Selling a phone that does PIM utilities but make it damn near impossible to use it as such is what I am talking about. Well, I could go on, you all could add to it, but all we would do is waste a few more KB on this lovely forum ....

Yeah, I know what you mean ....

But my Razr thing is NOT carrier specific. And I'm on Cin(suck)gular which claims to have fewer drop calls and drop my calls almost 60% of the time whenever I tried to use it.

There are some versions of software (either paid or Warz versions) to do what I want to do. But I'm kinda looking into to get it working on my Linux box with either kaddressbook or evolution. Rockman told me it got working under SVN version so I'm gonna try it. Being a noob at compiling software from source as I'm, I'm going to read up on some docs.
