    Microsoft's .WAV on linux

    Hi,

I have a .WAV audio files which is in compressed format i.e. encoded by DSP Truespeech codec. Its size is 612KB and its duration is 9 min. and 47 seconds. When I tried to play it using any player in Fedora 3 , none of the players is accepting this format. Moreover I have installed codecs also but still I am not able to play it in linux. Does any one know how to decompress it in linux and how can I play it in linux.

    Thanks.

I'd say rty MPlayer with the binary codecs.

612K for a 9m file is quite low. I would bet that the file is incomplete and thus corrupted as far as the playback tool is concerned. Compression will require the whole file to be there. Uncompressed files do not, and can be broken.
