.net is ok, certainly not my favorite, but not as bad as some of M$'s previous attempts at making programming a more enjoyable experience (MFC... yuck!).
Of course my favorite part of .NET is how trivial it is to decompile![]()
Hello from Windows world. For the last 2 months I have been knee deep in .NET development for my new job. I still try to hack a little Java and Perl from time to time to keep it fresh, but I have to admit to spending alot more time in teh Winders than at home on Linux.
You know what I have been finding? .NET it actually pretty cool, and I have been doing alot of reading about MONO, which integrates with GTK# (http://gtk-sharp.sourceforge.net/), essentially making cross Windows/Linux apps even easier than they were before. Sure there are still the Eclipse libraries for Java, but they have always been a pain to layout.
Anyone else have an opinion on MONO? Sure, C# started with MS, but this MONO project is totally unaffiliated with them. Just looking for input.
