    Using K3b with Debian "Etch"

I had been using the K3b CD & DVD burning software with "Sarge", and subsequently installed it on my "Etch" system, using Gnome 2.12, but when I did, I noticed that my applications menu stopped working. When I clicked on it, the list would appear for a half-second or so & disappear. Does anyone have any insight for me? I did notice that K3b had a long list of dependencies....

Those are some of the reasons I stay away from development branch. Ya never knows what's going to happen next.

    you have a point...

...however, since I am trying to learn all I can, I figured what the heck, why not try it? I can't deny I have picked up quite a bit.(but I still have 3.1 just the way I like it on a separate disk!)

    RE: K3b problem...

I found the problem with K3b which caused my Applications menu to disappear...it was one of the dependency packages; menu-xdg 0.2.3. I will try to find a different version of this package. Does anyone know what it does? It's description was a little vague.
