My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive.
Mine is REDHAT LINUX 9.0 (2.4.20-8)

You may want to consider upgrading to Fedora Core 5, RH9 is ancient and the upgrade is rather painless.
Sorry I'm a newbie Pls help me to upgrade to fedoraCore
As Lovechild said, you are running a very old linux version. Since you are trying to install newer applications, you are getting some dependencies conflict.
Try downloading Fedora from one of the mirrors. Alternatively, if you can't download it, someone from the forum might be able to burn and mail it for you.

As I understand it, Fedora supports direct upgrading from RH9 so you should just be able to boot the cd and it should detect your RH9 install and offer to upgrade it.
I would be happy to burn you a copy and mail it to you if you are unable to download it, just PM me your address.
