    Wireless Problem with Ubuntu

    I'm using Ubuntu 5.10 and trying to connect to my school wireless network which uses WEP and PEAP authentication. I've no problem connecting to my home WEP wireless but didn't know how to set up for my school wireless. I'm using Dell 600m laptop with Intel wireless card. I'm using the following script to connect to my home wireless:

    Code:
    #!/bin/bash
    sudo ifconfig eth1 down
    sudo killall -w -q dhclient
    sudo rm -f /var/run/dhclient.pid
    sudo ifconfig eth1 up
    sudo iwconfig eth1 essid "mynetwork" key xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    sudo dhclient -q eth1
    Can I use some similar code to connect to my school network?

    Have you tried it ?
    I havnt had that many experiences with networks using PEAP authentications, but from the logic in it, it should work.

    I once came across the wireless profile manager but I forgot the name of it. It was also featured in LinuxJournal so you may want to check out their site as well.

    When I have more time, I will look through my LJ Mags and see if I can tell you the name of it.

    I'm not in front of my ubu box so I forget the exact place to go, but it's something like System->Administration->Networking. Does that offer any ways you can configure the thing?

    Here. The program is called NetGo which supposely have support for rolling profile. So you can choose which WiFi you want to connect from your GUI area.
